Hiroshima night

Hiroshima night candles, with macro
Floating candles in Töölönlahti Bay, on the anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing. I try to go every year, I find it is quite beautiful there.

Yes, from the photo it does seem quite beautiful.

It is lovely, Kahless - my camera (and my photographic skills, let's be unnecessarily honest here) are not good enough to capture the different qualities of light, as the still-long dusk starts to creep in and the candles are set out onto the water. I like that it's getting bigger every year, too.

Hei Loïc and welcome to my blog. Lovely to see you and sorry for leaving you unreplied-to for longer than is polite really. I had a brief look at your site and pictures and your pictures are quite stunning - I intend to come back for a more thorough look sometime soon. This site isn't updated very often, I reside more on the other, "spoken-word" site, but do please feel most welcome to visit either.
